Home Puja Room

The home prayer room or home Puja room will generally have god’s portraits, idols, and other divine symbols. When various divine symbols are kept in a puja room just only as showpieces, it may not create a divine energy effect at significant levels. Inside every home, the availability of cosmic energies is less. Only a limited quantum of cosmic energies can encircle the divine pictures and idols. Moreover, the puja room is also generally small in every house. Thus, the availability of cosmic energy must be first boosted, and even such small puja rooms can also be effectively used to obtain more divine energies. When a ghee or oil lamp is lit in front of such divine objects, the oil /ghee energy is dispersed via fire, and absorbed by the cosmic energy circulating the object.

The free cosmic energies inside the prayer place/room absorb the oil/ghee energy as their food. Hence, more amounts of free cosmic energies will be attracted toward the lamp, which encircles the divine objects / portraits in the puja room. Those cosmic energies will reflect the characteristics of the divine objects such as Mahameru, Siva Linga, Bana Linga, Salagrama, Trishul, Spear, etc., and the divine powers of the respective gods. It is better to keep some quickly evaporating or disintegrating food ingredients on a plate, such as bananas or soft fruits, sweets, hot rice Pongal, and liquids like milk, payasam, or water in a glass. Hence, the cosmic energy surrounding such divine objects will energize them from such foods.

As the accumulation of divine energy in such small divine objects is significantly less in quantity, it provides only small blessing effects when you pray in front of them. Nothing is free in the cosmos, and nothing goes waste. Hence, if such divine objects, god’s portraits, or mini-size idols are energized properly during your worship at your home puja room, you will obtain blessings from the cosmic energy accumulated there, which acts as divine energy of the respective god. In your puja room, gods do not come and bless you as they reside in the temples. But the cosmic energies available inside your puja room can reflect the various gods’ characteristics and cosmic skills as per the portrait kept in your puja room.

Do the gods reside in home puja room?

The gods need an exclusive place for them to reside and a lot of rituals to be performed over there. The gods can live only in the temples as they have all the required facilities. The gods cannot provide services at our doorstep. Thus, we must only go to their place to see the gods and get God's direct blessings.

Otherwise, we must create such exclusive facilities for the gods to make them stay in a home temple. That is not possible for all devotees. Thus, in a standard home puja room, a human cannot expect the gods to come and bless him. To create your home puja room like a miniature temple, we can keep small-sized idols of the desired gods and big-sized pictures in the puja room along with the various yantras, etc. Hence, the cosmic energies may feel that they are adequately respected and feel the ambiance of a miniature temple. The gods’ pictures should be kept higher than that of any devotee. The gods’ pictures should not be held at the same level or below a devotee’s head. At such lower levels, the cosmic energies may feel that they are being considered below the devotees. If you can keep the portraits only at a lower level, praying in front of such images sitting on the floor is better. In the absence of the god in our home worship places (i.e., Puja room), we seek help from the cosmic energy therein to act as a god due to its “reflective characteristics.”

We have already seen that cosmic energies just reflect the characteristics of the photo/idol/object when they encircle it. So, we need to increase the availability of cosmic energy in our house, especially in the puja room, through proper energizing methods like oil lamps, incense sticks, etc. Yantras can be kept at human eye levels as the human eyes can directly see them. The atom particles roaming around in the air connect the gods’ portraits/idols and the viewers. Thus, they enter the viewer’s eye and energize their brain cells with the reflection characteristics of those divine objects. Yantra represents the flow of cosmic energy. When Yantras are worshipped, it guides your brains’ cosmic energy to flow in that yantra’s pattern and hence the viewer’s brain chambers are activated. Yantras can also be kept on a plate below the god’s portraits.

Mostly in puja rooms, humans hang pictures of the gods without providing any energization. Especially when you hang gods’ photos, the cosmic energies will be attracted to that photo and expect some instructions or commands from such gods’ pictures. The photo paper is also an accumulated form of cosmic energies and expects some command to perform specific actions. When you pray loudly, it hears your vibration, takes that prayer as a command from you, and tries to perform that task. Its efficiency depends on the amount of cosmic energy available in that place. Idols have more quantum of energy particles. Portraits have a lesser quantum of energy particles. You can worship any object subject to how you energize them with more food offerings/ naivedyam/Agni puja.
